Olanshile "Shylle" Shonoiki

I am a UX Designer
focused on creating
user-centered designs
that are intuitive and
easy to use.

Shylle, I am.

I am called Shylle by a lot of people who can't pronounce my first name. I am a web designer and graphics designer pivoting into a career in UX designer. I have held multiple interests over the past few years as a writer, programmer, photographer, editor, graphics designer and stationer. People say I'm multi-talented, but I just have a unique skillset that makes me great at problem solving.

"I believe the user is the center of any successful design solution.”

My career has always been centered around design. My work in creating websites not only included some backend programming, I also created the frontend interfaces. As a magazine editor, I was responsible for the overall look and feel of the whole publication. More recently as a stationer, I designed and crafted print materials including invitation cards and flyers. My diverse background gives me a high-level view of creating a balance between the users' needs and an organization's business goals.

Due to my vast experience in designing for different platforms and my problem solving skills, I have developed a love for creating solutions that are user-centered, intuitive and easy to use. Providing solutions to real user problems is why I love UX design.

"I know how things work"

When I'm not working, I enjoy playing chess, solving puzzles and watching Sci-Fi or fantasy movies. I'm also a hobbyist photographer and I enjoy a good laugh!

I have a unique talent I call "Intuitive Aptitude". I can quickly recognize patterns and figure how things work. By watching someone perform a task or activity, I can replicate that skill. This has helped me be very hands-on with things around me, whether it's crafting, building things or fixing the car and things around the house.
